WHATS UP BALLERS!

We dit it again and what a day it was! On Sunday, August 6th, Ball inn brought the basketball community together once again for another electrifying "1V1 KINGS" tournament on the iconic courts of Poblenou in Barcelona. Big up to everyone came down to be part of this unforgettable event that showcased the passion and talent within our community. (Check out the last 1v1 Kings here)

An Unforgettable Experience On & Off the Court - The vibes were unmatched as 32 amateur ballers battled it out to claim the title of 1V1 KING OF BARCELONA. Each game was a showcase of skill, agility, and determination, leaving the crowd amazed on the sidelines. But it didn't stop there! Off the court, our very own Galgo Katari curated a pretty dope experience. The air was filled with hip hop and latino tunes spun by our talented DJs representing the colours of Columbia. The live beatmakers from around the world mesmerized us with their skills and got everybody VIBING. Street artists painted captivating murals, transforming the walls behind the court and even a mini hoop into vibrant masterpieces. And of course, Ricky treated us to the best empanadas and fresh juice in Barcelona. It was a celebration of basketball culture like no other, where everyone could enjoy the day, whether on the court or off.

1V1 King and Runner-Up: The intensity of the games was insane, and after fierce competition, one player emerged victorious as the 1V1 King of Barcelona. Congratulations to the 17 year old from Tarragona, Joan Ramos, for his outstanding skills and unwavering determination. I heard someone saying that posting up against him is like going up against a wall. And boy, can he shoot too. The runner-up, Alan, was probably the shiftiest player of the day, showcasing incredible talent and skill, making every game an edge-of-your-seat affair. A special shoutout to our generous sponsor, Layup, a new French basketball brand, who provided a pair of their stylish Layup Revo I shoes for the new 1V1 King of Barcelona. (it’s also the shoes Juancho Hernangomez aka Bo Cruz was wearing in the movie Hustle) And the runner-up didn’t go home with empty hands but with a classic Ball inn t-shirt, a true emblem of our vibrant basketball community.

It's about promoting the game we love, celebrating basketball culture, and connecting local and international communities of passionate ballers. Each event strengthens our commitment to creating more opportunities for amateur players to showcase their skills and passion for the sport.
